The app

TimeCal reads your calendars through Apple’s calendar system (EventKit) and stores its own settings on your Mac. It sends no analytics, no telemetry, and no crash reports. There is no account to create and nothing to sign in to.

This website

No analytics beyond Cloudflare’s aggregate server-side metrics, which we cannot tie to a person. No advertising, no tracking cookies, and no third-party scripts other than the two named below.

The waitlist

If you give us your email address, it is stored by Formspark, our form processor, and used for one purpose: to tell you when TimeCal is available. We do not sell it, rent it, or add it to anything else. It is kept only as long as it is useful for that, and deleted sooner if you ask. Write to evan@trytimecal.com to be removed.

Botpoison checks submissions for spam bots. It sees the request, not your identity.

Payments

When TimeCal goes on sale, checkout is handled by Polar, acting as Merchant of Record for Sandpiper Media Group. Your payment details go there directly; we never see or store your card number. We keep a record of the purchase itself so we can honor licenses and refunds.

License checks

To activate and check your license, the app sends your license key, your Mac’s name, a hardware identifier, and the app and macOS versions to Polar. That is the only thing the app ever sends about you. Nothing about your calendars ever leaves your Mac.

Updates

The app checks a public release feed for new versions. That request carries no personal information, though GitHub, which hosts the file, sees it like any other web request.

Email

Transactional email is part of what you bought: your license key, receipts, and support replies. These are sent while you hold a license and cannot be turned off.

Product updates are separate and opt-in. You are added only if you tick the box asking for them, every message carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing has no effect on your license. We do not sell, rent, or share the list.

We use Resend to deliver email. They process your address to send messages on our behalf and for nothing else.

Children

TimeCal is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from that age group.

Business transfers

If Sandpiper Media Group or TimeCal is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to the protections in this policy. Notice of any change in ownership will be posted here.

Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be deleted, or just ask a question. Write to evan@trytimecal.com.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date above changes with it.
